Shift At Midnight Multiplayer Guide

Player Count

Up to 3 players can join an online co-op session. There is no local split-screen - it is online co-op only.

With a full team you can interrogate customers faster, split up to cover both the store and the stockroom, and coordinate traps and callouts during the hunt.

Crossplay

Shift At Midnight supports cross-platform play between Steam and Xbox. Steam players can join Xbox players and vice versa.

Invite friends through the game's party system and join each other's shifts regardless of platform.

Proximity Chat

The game features proximity chat, which enhances the horror - you can hear your teammates nearby, and so can the entities.

Keep callouts tight when hiding. Loud microphone noise registers and can reveal your position during the hunt.

Co-op Tips

• Assign roles: one player on the register, one stocking shelves, one watching suspicious customers.
• Call out doppelganger tells loudly so the whole team knows who to watch.
• During the hunt, split the doors - one player per entrance with traps ready.
• Keep the patience bar in mind and tell teammates when an entity is chasing you.
