Shift At Midnight puts you behind a gas station counter for the night shift. Stock shelves, serve customers, meet your quota - and figure out which customers are actually doppelgangers pretending to be human.

Every shift is randomly generated, so no two nights are the same. Your core loop: serve customers, interrogate suspects, and survive until closing.

Gas Station Management

Your shift begins with managing the store. Keep the shelves stocked so customers can complete their purchases, take deliveries, keep the store clean and sell enough products to meet your quota each night.

Store purchases (traps, ammunition, boards, healing items and upgrades) come from the store balance - not your personal funds. Keep investing in survival gear.

The Doppelganger Threat

Not every customer is human. Some are doppelgangers - creatures that copy people's appearance. If a doppelganger leaves the store, it will return after closing as a monster and hunt you.

When you suspect a customer, interrogate them: cross-check their ID in the NET Database, then question them about their date of birth, occupation and appearance. Doppelgangers slip up on details.

If you make a mistake, you get 60 seconds to prepare: nail wooden planks onto the doors with E and set traps at each entrance before the monsters arrive.

Story Mode vs Endless Mode

Shift At Midnight is best with friends. Up to 3 players can work together online, and proximity chat makes communication tense and immersive.

Work together to interrogate customers faster, split up to cover the store, and coordinate traps during the post-shift hunt.
